Lawrence O’Donnell slams ‘News Media’ for ‘stupid’ coverage.

MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell slammed ‘news media’ for ‘panicking’ and ‘stupid campaign coverage’ of president Joe Biden’s He remarks “rubbish”, which is supposed to refer to Trump supporters, accusing journalists of refusing to “understand English grammar”.

During a Zoom call with Latino leaders on TuesdayBiden stumbled over his words as he reacted to the comedian of Tony Hinchcliffe Sunday set to a former president of Donald Trump rally in Madison Square Garden, where Hinchcliffe referred to Puerto Rico as a “floating island of trash.”

Biden remarked, “The only garbage I see floating around there are his supporters — his — his demonization of Latinos is unacceptable.” Despite the White House releasing a transcript, with an apostrophe noted to fix Biden’s comment as singular directed at Hinchcliffe, and the president’s own statement, MAGA supporters pounced.

On Wednesday night, O’Donnell lashed out at the “worst reporters” he accused of trying to “create a controversy” out of the moment by ignoring Trump, who he said. “constantly uses the language of Hitler.”

The poisonous American candidate for president who constantly uses Hitler’s language and calls Democrats trash, that was not news. But the same news media that ignored all the times Donald Trump called American citizens and American voters scum and trash actually tried to make Joe Biden’s use of the word trash into a controversial news story today.

To do this, they had to refuse to listen to the sentence that Joe Biden spoke. They had to refuse to look at the written words of that sentence. They had to refuse to understand English grammar. They had to refuse to understand what a singular possessive is. They had to refuse to understand what the apostrophe “s” meant. They had to refuse to remember what they learned in elementary school about the English language.

They can do that because this campaign is covered by some of the best reporters I’ve ever seen and some of the worst reporters I’ve ever seen. And the worst of them actually cried to create a controversy today and tried to equate what President Biden said last night with what the man he was condemning said in Madison Square Garden. And those reporters know it’s false, but it’s the kind of false narrative that panicky, stupid campaign coverage amplifies.

Not one of the reporters who got excited about it today asked Donald Trump to name the good things that Adolf Hitler did, after Donald Trump was quoted by his White House chief of staff. John Kelly quote Hitler did some good things. The terrible campaign reporters and commentators covering this campaign are completely exploitable by Donald Trump and Donald Trump knows it, which is why Donald Trump, the worst candidate to ever run for president, got into a garbage truck today to was trying to get more attention.
