Court hearing for Medina Walmart fire suspect

MEDINA COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) – Man charged with arson Walmart Supercenter of Medina is scheduled to be arraigned in Medina County District Court on Tuesday.

Jeremiah Q. Banto, 26, of Providence, Rhode Island, is charged with aggravated arson and grand larceny.

The fire was started inside the Walmart on Pearl Road on Nov. 4.

Police said Banto also stole a vehicle from a used car lot in Medina Township on the same day.

Banto was arrested in New York state on November 5.
