Burglary investigation leads to a roadblock situation near 51st Ave and Camelback

PHOENIX – Two juveniles are in custody after a burglary call led to a barricade situation near 51st Avenue and Camelback Road on Saturday.

Phoenix police say officers were called to investigate a burglary in which two people were seen getting into a victim’s vehicle around 8 a.m.

Officers set up a perimeter and asked everyone to stay away from the area while they investigated.

Around 11 a.m., police say two juvenile boys were taken into custody without incident.

The juveniles are to be arraigned on burglary and criminal mischief charges.
